Automotive components

Automotive work is unforgiving about batch-to-batch consistency, and every delivery goes through incoming inspection. Manual blending varies from shift to shift; translucency and hue drift, and a whole batch can be rejected.

How MegaColor deals with it

  • Recipes are stored and reused across shifts, instead of depending on one experienced operator’s judgement
  • Single-dose dosing consistency CV < 0.6%, so the quantity of pigment delivered is the same batch after batch
  • Finished-part colour deviation ΔE < 0.2, which meets incoming requirements for most interior and exterior trim
  • Production data is logged, so you have process records to show when incoming inspection asks for traceability

Which model this industry usually takes

This is the common choice, not the only answer — resin temperature and throughput per machine are what actually decide the model.

Common choice: MegaColor 5th Gen Standard

  • Automotive parts commonly run ABS / PC and other high-temperature resins — specify the high-temp configuration (model suffix -S) when ordering
  • Resins: PP / PE / PS / TPE and similar low-temperature resins
  • Throughput: 50–70 kg/h
  • Dosing configuration: Single powder

When to choose a different model

Industry experience is no substitute for a trial run. Within one industry, every plant has its own resin grades, pigment suppliers and loading ratios. We do not conclude anything from "everyone in this industry uses model X" — send us the resin and powder you actually run, we test on your material and settle the model once there is data. There is no charge for this step.
