MegaColor Large-Capacity Standard
Color Powder Dosing Machine

Once a single machine draws more than 70 kg/h, the standard unit cannot keep up and you need the large-capacity frame. The 10.5 L powder tank also means refilling less often.

  • 150–180 kg/hThroughput
  • Single powderDosing configuration
  • 10.5 LPowder tank volume

Is this the right model for you?

Rather than reading the full spec sheet and guessing, start here. If these match your line, this is the model.

Look at another model

Choose this model

  • Throughput per machine is above 70 kg/h
  • You run PP / PE / PS / TPE or similar low-temp resins
  • Large presses, high-output shop
  • You dose one color powder (or one masterbatch)

The large-capacity machine is currently built on the 4th Generation frame. Changeover is therefore 10 minutes, not the 1-minute hopper swap of the 5th Generation. If you need both high output and fast changeover, one option is a 5th Gen Standard per press — we will run the numbers with you during sample testing.

Not sure about your melt temperature or usage rate? You do not have to work it out yourself. Send us the resin grades and color powder you actually run, we test on your materials and give you the data, and we discuss model selection from there. There is no charge for this step.

A recipe is only valid for the resin grade it was set on. The metering chamber is volumetric: the volume is fixed, so the weight per chamber moves with the bulk density of the resin (roughly 1.3 kg per chamber on PP, 1.7 kg on PS). Keep the same tooth setting and switch from PP to PS and the powder dose has not changed while the resin charge has grown heavier — the color comes out visibly lighter. Re-set the tooth position when you change resin grade. This is inherent to volumetric dosing, and it is covered in commissioning training.

What this machine does

Set & Forget recipe control

Enter the recipe ratio on the screen and press start. The machine doses and blends at that ratio continuously with nobody watching it. The operator’s job shifts from blending to purging and changeover.

DualMode™ — one machine, both media

Runs color powder or masterbatch. Change the parts, not the machine. If you want to move from masterbatch back to powder to cut cost, you do not need to buy a second unit.

The MegaColor Three Zeros

Fully sealed mixing chamber — zero airborne dust. Gear metering needs no diffusion oil — zero mineral oil. Blended on demand with nothing left over — zero waste.

  • 150–180 kg/h throughput
  • 10.5 L powder tank, less frequent refilling
  • Single-powder metering

How it compares with the rest of the range

Split by generation, throughput and dosing configuration. If you pick the wrong one, we will tell you at the sample-testing stage.

Dual-powder and dual-material are different machines: on the dual-powder model both tanks hold powder (color powder with metallic pigment, color powder with mould release). The dual-material model handles multiple resin streams (resin with calcium carbonate, for example), for cases where the bulk densities differ too much to blend evenly in a tumble mixer and the heavy fraction settles out as soon as the hopper vibrates.
